Faithful to Forgive

Confession can feel frightening, as if naming our sin will push God away. This verse says the opposite. When we confess, God is faithful and just to forgive. Faithful, because He keeps His promises. Just, because Christ has already paid for our sin. Forgiveness is not God overlooking wrong; it is God dealing with it completely at the cross. You do not need to hide anything from Him today. Bring it into the light and be made clean.
