Scripture
Psalm 23:1
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The Lord Is My Shepherd
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
David had been a shepherd, so he knew what sheep needed: guidance, protection, food, water and rest. When he wrote "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want," he was saying that God provides all of it. A sheep does not lie awake worrying about tomorrow's pasture; it stays close to the shepherd. Today, instead of trying to provide everything for yourself, follow the Shepherd who already knows the way.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
The Lord is my shepherd. He leads me, provides for me, and I lack nothing I truly need.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Good Shepherd, thank You for leading me and caring for me. When I worry about what I lack, remind me that You know my needs. Lead me beside still waters today and restore my soul. Help me to stay close to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
