Scripture
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Strong and of Good Courage
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
Joshua stood at the edge of the Promised Land with Moses gone and a nation looking to him. God's charge was clear: be strong and of a good courage. But it came with a reason: "for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Courage is not the absence of fear; it is moving forward because God is with us. Whatever new ground you are stepping onto today, you do not step onto it alone.
Affirmation

Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord, You know the new ground in front of me. Give me courage where I feel afraid and strength where I feel unready. Thank You for the promise that You go with me wherever I go. Help me to step forward in faith today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
