Day 2
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Scripture Reading(ESV)
4Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
7Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
Today's Reflection
Paul's beautiful description of love provides a practical roadmap for healthy relationships. This isn't abstract theology—it's a daily handbook for loving well. Notice how love is defined by actions and attitudes rather than feelings. Love chooses patience when others frustrate us. It selects kindness when harshness would be easier. Love deliberately refuses envy and boasting, choosing instead to celebrate others and remain humble. As you read each characteristic, consider your closest relationships. Where do you see God's love flowing through you? Where do you need His help to grow? The promise that love 'bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things' doesn't mean we become doormats, but rather that we choose to see others through God's eyes of hope and possibility. This kind of love transforms not just our relationships, but our hearts.
