Scripture
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Wings as Eagles
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
Isaiah says even young people grow weary and stumble. Strength runs out for everyone. But those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength. Waiting in Scripture is not passive; it is hopeful, expectant dependence on God. Notice the order: mount up, run, walk. Some days God lifts you to soar. Some days He helps you run. And some days, the miracle is that you keep walking without fainting. All three are His strength at work.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
As I wait upon the Lord, He renews my strength. I will run and not be weary; I will walk and not faint.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord, I am running low on strength today. I choose to wait on You and to depend on You instead of myself. Renew my strength for whatever this day holds, whether that means soaring, running, or simply walking on. In Jesus' name, Amen.
