Scripture
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Be Still
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
"Be still" can also be read "cease striving" or "let go." This psalm was written for a world in turmoil: nations raging, mountains shaking. In the middle of the noise God says, stop and know that I am God. Stillness is not doing nothing; it is remembering who is in charge. Take a few quiet moments today, without your phone and without a list. Breathe, and remind your heart that God is still God.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
I can be still, because God is God. He is in control, and I do not have to carry the world on my shoulders.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord, quiet my racing thoughts. Help me to stop striving and to know that You are God. Remind me that You are present in every storm and that You will be exalted. Teach me the peace of stillness before You today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
