Scripture
Proverbs 3:5-6
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust Over Understanding
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
We like to understand before we trust. Scripture asks us to trust even when we do not understand. "Lean not unto thine own understanding" does not mean switching off our minds; it means not resting our full weight on them. Our view is limited, but God sees the whole path. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, in the big decisions and the ordinary ones, He promises to direct our paths. Trust is not a feeling; it is choosing whom you lean on.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
I trust the Lord with all my heart. I acknowledge Him in all my ways, and He directs my paths.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord, there are things in my life I do not understand right now. I choose to trust You with all my heart instead of leaning on my own understanding. Show me how to honor You in every decision today, and lead me in the way I should go. In Jesus' name, Amen.
