Scripture
Lamentations 3:22-23
22It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
New Every Morning
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
These words sit in the middle of a book of grief. Jeremiah had watched his city fall, yet he called to mind one thing that gave him hope: the Lord's mercies do not run out. They are new every morning. Yesterday's failures do not use up today's grace. Whatever happened last night, last week or last year, this morning arrived with fresh mercy already waiting. You do not start this day in debt; you start it in grace.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
God's mercies toward me are new this morning. His compassion does not fail, and His faithfulness is great.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord, thank You that Your mercies are new this morning. I let go of yesterday's regrets and receive the grace You have prepared for today. Help me to show the same fresh mercy to the people around me. Great is Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
