Scripture
Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Come and Rest
A short reflection to help you apply God's Word.
Jesus' invitation is wonderfully simple: come. He does not say "fix yourself first" or "carry a little more." He speaks to the weary and the heavy laden, the very people who feel they have nothing left to offer. The rest He gives is more than sleep or a day off. It is the deep rest of a soul that no longer has to earn its place. Bring Him what is heavy today. He is gentle, and He will not turn you away.
Affirmation
A scripture-based declaration for your day.
I can come to Jesus just as I am. In Him I find rest for my soul, and I do not have to carry my burdens alone.
Prayer
A simple prayer to help you respond to God's Word.
Lord Jesus, I come to You tired and carrying more than I can hold. Thank You for inviting me instead of turning me away. I lay my burdens at Your feet. Teach me to rest in Your grace and to walk with You at Your gentle pace today. In Your name, Amen.
